I was working in the department of pulmonary diseases, which was a bit difficult, because I was still a pre-clinical student and it had not been my choice at all. But I was told that they couldn't place me in any other department, so I had to settle for it. In the end it turned out fine and all the doctors were very helpful and willing to explain everything from basics. I also spent a few days in the department of internal medicine, because all the English-speaking doctors in pulmonary diseases were on holiday.

Usually I spent 2-4 hours a day in the clinic, where I followed

My exchange programme was supposed to be research exchange at the clinic of gynaecology and obstetrics. I arrived in Kosice on Sunday morning and went to hospital with local students on Monday. My tutor doctor said that there’s no research programme in this clinic and he told me to come back on Tuesday to start my clinical exchange. That was fine with me. On Tuesday I went there and he showed me all the places and talked to me for one hour. He said I could do what ever I wanted and that he doesn’t care if I would be there or not. After that he left and I never saw my tutor again.
