I took part in preclinical exchange for two weeks in Norrlands Universitetssjukshus in Umeå. Most of the time I was in intensive heart care ward, but I also got to spend two afternoons in ER. My working time was 6-8 hours per day, but they didn't really check it in any way. However, it was so interesting that I wanted to spend days in the hospital. I followed the doctors during morning rounds. I got to see many things like coronary angiogram, electric rhythm conversion of heart, by-pass operation and heart catethrisation. My tutor also let me write some referals in Swedish. Sometimes

My Nordic Preclinical Exchange was a great opportunity to see hospital work and environment after the first year of my Medicine studies. My exchange place was Linköping which is located in the middle of the Östergotland in Sweden. There´s about 137 000 people living in Linköping and the University Hospital is really large.
