Bonjour!

I'm a fifth year medical student from Turku. I visited France, St. Etienne in May. I worked at Hopital Nord at the department cardiology. I took a flight to Lyon from Helsinki (314 €), spent the first night there at my friends flat, and travelled the next day to St. Etienne with a train.

 

I did my exchange in St. Etienne in July 2006. I was working in l'Hôpital Nord in the department of Gastro-Enterology. The ward itself was pretty much like the wards in Finland, although every thing seems more modern in the Finnish hospitals. We for example use the computers much more in Finland.

I was in the Infectious diseases in Hopital Cavale Blanche. The hospital was much like in Finland. The ward of Infectious Diseases was divided in two parts and both parts had one intern. The specialists did usually the rounds with the intern. My day was from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Usually it took almost the whole time do the visits. First in the morning the nurses told about the patients for the doctors in the office and after the round started and it was made only by the doctors and interns (and me too). My job was most of the
