Brescia 2006

I spend the month in a hospital called Spedali Civili di Brescia and I was placed in the department of surgery, orthopaedics and traumatology. It was a really big hospital, at least the same size as the university hospital in Kuopio. I haven´t seen much orthopaedic operations in Finland before going there, but I think the methods of the operations were quite the same as in Finland. At least as far I could remember from the classes. The hospital overall wasn't so highly developed comparing to Finland. Inside the hospital looked

Bologna 2006

I received the Card of Acceptance a little bit late, but it didn't really bother me that much. I travelled the month of June and August, so I didn't really buy tickets from Finland to Bologna. I took a train from Nice, France and left with the train from Bologna to Belgrade, Serbia. When I was thinking about buying the tickets, Sterling had nice offers, but unfortunately this autumn Sterling will stop all their flights from Helsinki. SN Brussels and SAS would've also had tickets for a good price. STA Travel only gave an offer for tickets to Milan.

Turin 2007

I made my research exchange in Turin, Italy. It was my first time as an exchange student and first time in aeroplane, too.

It travelled first by bus from Tampere to Helsinki and then by plane to Turin and because there wasn’t any direct flight, I went via Brussels and changed plain there. The plane from Brussels to Turin was late and it was almost midnight when I finally arrived to Turin airport from where my contact person took me to the residence. Plane tickets cost 315€ plus 11€ for the bus ticket.
