If you are interested in applying for an IFMSA Exchange in Finland
Contact the National Member Organization of the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) in your home country for further information. You can find the list of the organizations in different countries in the address www.ifmsa.org/ifmsa/members/national-members. You cannot organize an exchange directly via FiMSIC if you are not a Finnish medical student.
If you have been accepted to do an IFMSA exchange in Finland
Contact the Local Officers in the city of your upcoming exchange (you will find the address e.g. in your CA). They can answer all your questions concerning the practicalities of your stay (accommodation, social programme etc.) and need to know when exactly you will arrive in your destined city and how (train/bus). Please do not leave contacting the Local Officers to the last minute; they need to hear from you well in advance before you arrive. During the approximately three months prior to your exchange arrange that you can read your emails often and give the email address to the Local Officers if it is not stated in your original application. The Local Officers will assign you a Contact Person who will be your first Finnish friend and will meet you at the train/railway station/airport and take you to your lodging and help you out in the beginning of your exchange.
If you have to cancel your IFMSA Exchange in Finland
Contact both the National Officer and the Local Officers of the city you were supposed to do an Exchange in. Please don't be a no-show but inform us if you can't come!
If you are already in Finland and you have a problem concerning your Exchange
Contact the Local Officers. If it's a minor matter, get in touch with your Contact Person.
If you have an official matter concerning FiMSIC as an organisation
Contact the FiMSIC president, president@fimsic.org or use the general address fimsic@fimsic.org.
